Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Company Token Shamrock Saloon, Dale California

This Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Company 12.5 cent token was found in the “New Dale” area (aka Old Dale) – Between Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree National Park in the Supply Mine area, which is very close to the location of what was “New Dale” or simply, Dale California.

This token is the size of a modern U.S. quarter. One side reads “Good for 12 1/2 In Trade” and on the other side reads “At the Shamrock Dale California”. In very small lettering at the bottom is “LA RUB STAMP CO” which is the company that made these tokens, the Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Company.

The “Shamrock” Saloon was located in New Dale and went out of business around 1911, around the same time that the town of Dale vanished. This Shamrock Saloon 12.5 cent token was found in a mine-dump at one of the Supply Mine adits, approximately 20 feet from the adit. This particular part of the Supply Mine is approximately 2 miles from where the Shamrock Saloon was located.
