Abandoned Mine Camp Near Besemmer Mine Road – Easy Off Road Trail In Southern California

This easy 4×4 road starts at the intersection of Highway 247 AKA Old Woman Springs Road and Besemmer Mine Road. From there we go a few miles south toward the Big Bear Mountains and make a right turn. We then go a couple of miles east to the Blackhawk Mine.

From Blackhawk Mine we backtrack toward Besemmer Mine Road and continue toward the Big Bear mountains about a mile where we find the abandoned mining camp.

This is an easy drive that any 4WD vehicle can easily negotiate. The entire run is mostly flat road with only a few small ditches or ruts to cross.

This .GPX track file begins at Highway 247 and Bessemer Mine Road and goes south toward the Big Bear Mountains.  At the intersection it goes right to Blackhawk Mine, then backtracks to Bessemer Mine Road, then on to the abandoned mine camp.
